Just as an early information to everybody:
For the moment, we will stick to tire wear set to "normal". However, if in the future the parc ferme rule should work properly (that means: only tire compound and pit stop strategy changeable after qualifying), we will change to tire wear set to "2x". That should make for more interesting races (you know, make a short stint with soft tires, and then a long stint with hard and so on).
But I think for the moment "normal" is the best solution at 50% race length.

WCP 2009 1.2 has been released, but we will use 1.1 for the Hungarian GP this weekend so that we have some time to test the new version. I'm downloading it at the moment; comments from other forums suggests it has some bugs, so we should wait a bit.
EDIT: Tested it. While my first impression is rather positive, I really think we should wait a bit. Especially those who drive from cockpit-view will hate the update. That's a really strange cockpit view. Perhaps there will be a patch soon. And the cars' physics also have changed a bit (IMO they are now even trickier)

Please update your mod to Version 1.3. The 1.3 version includes the end-season Red Bull/Toro Rosso and many fixes. You should also have a lot more FPS now.
You can download it here: MegaUpload | RapidShare Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
You should de-install the old version before installing the new version.
If you should encounter graphics issues with the cars' textures on low graphics settings, you should try this (unofficial) patch. I didn't test it but I read that it should work in most cases. If the skin issues still remain, try a higher graphics setting.
Beginning with the Belgian GP this weekend we might also apply new Parc Ferm้ rules (as the mod now supports them), but I have to talk to Moulich first if that works correctly on the server.

I installed it over version 1.1 and it worked fine for me. No need to uninstall it first i think.

New Parc Ferm้ Rules
Please note that beginning with the Belgian GP the following Parc Ferm้ Rules will apply:
- The fuel that you have at the end of Qualifying is the fuel that you start your race with. (e.g. if you have 50 litres of fuel at the end of Qualy, you start with 50 litres into the race)
- After qualifying you can just change a limited number of settings, including engine boost, front wing angle, tire compound and tire pressure.
- Everything else (e.g. gearbox settings) is fixed after your first timed lap in Qualifying.

Sputnik, i think you've done a great job organizing the league as a moderator and thanking you might not be anough reflection of the job you've done, and i might not be the appropiate person for this but,
why change the rules when the season already started?, i accept it and all, because i think we should be able to modify some small settings like boost and everything you propose, but the only thing that worries me is the new fuel rule, is very hard to save fuel on these cars and the fuel tank is very small, loosing 2 laps of fuel (minimum) in qualy is just forcing us to go for 2 stops (minimum)......

First of all, thanks for the compliment. However we shouldn't forget that our MegaMoulich also does a lot of things to keep the league up and running
And don't think you're "not the appropriate person". Everyone can criticise and make suggestions. I mean, I'm doing all that for the first time, so it's not unlikely that I make some mistakes.
About the rules issue:
I just found out about the parc ferme change in WCP's 1.3 version after the upgrade to 1.3 was announced in the forums and Moulich already installed everything on the server. I just learned about it when I was making a test (offline) race to check if everything was working for the next race.
To be honest, I was so delighted about the new parc ferme rule in WCP (which is now the proper 2009 F1 rule) that I haven't thought about the "2-stop-side effect" because I'm doing 2 stops most of the time anyway. But you are right that this wouldn't be a good thing.
I'll talk to Moulich to set the server settings back for the moment (that means fixed setup after quali). And I'll contact WCP, so that they can possibly increase the fuel tank in the next version (or lower the fuel consumption). Because - as you should know me by now - I'd like to race under real F1 rules

The rules come with the mod. You cannot change them by hand (i think)

Moulich changed the server settings to the settings we had in the last races (though we should test it before the race on sunday if it works with the new mod version)

Hi all
After somes discussions and test with Sputnik, we didn't found how to fix the fuel problem after Qualification.
The fuel that you have at the end of Qualifying is the fuel that you start your race with. (e.g. if you have 50 litres of fuel at the end of Qualy, you start with 50 litres into the race)
This rule come from the mod, and we can't change it. I tried to set something in the dedicated.PLR file but it doesnt work neither.
So, the solution is to set fuel wearing on "Normal".
Reminder:
We will asking to all to be very safe about the fuel needed at qualifying start.
Thanks
Greetz
